Candidates who successfully registered could access the form correction window from December 1 to 5, 2025 (Tentative) to make any necessary modifications. The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 exam is scheduled from January 21 to January 30, 2026, with Paper 1 (BE/BTech) on January 21, 22, 23, 28, and 29, while Paper 2 (BArch and BPlan) will be held on January 30.


The registration for Session 1 began on October 31, 2025, and the process involved filling out the form, uploading necessary documents, and paying the application fee.   • Active email and mobile number: Required for receiving confirmation and verification messages from NTA.

  • Class 10 and Class 12 certificates: Only the Class 10 certificate needs to be uploaded in the form.

  • Aadhar card details

  • Scanned photograph and signature of the candidate.

  • Category certificate (if applicable): For OBC-NCL/EWS candidates, only the details (issue date and issuer’s name) need to be provided; uploading the certificate is not required. Other categories may need to upload the certificate.

  • PwD/PwBD certificate (if applicable): Candidates must upload the certificate if they belong to the PwD/PwBD category.

JEE Main 2026 Application Procedure: How to Register?

Candidates can apply for JEE Main 2026 by following these steps:


  • Visit the official NTA JEE Main 2026 website at jeemain.nta.nic.in and access the registration link.

  • Begin a new registration process.

  • Select a preferred login method and identification mode for submitting the application.

  • Complete the registration by entering your name, mobile number, and email address.

  • After successful registration, log in using the generated application number.

  • Fill in the JEE Main 2026 application form with personal and academic details.

  • Upload scanned copies of your photograph and signature as per the specified format.

  • Pay the required JEE Main 2026 application fee through the available payment methods.

  • Download and save the confirmation page for future reference.


Important Instructions About Your Password

When filling out the online form, you will need to create a PASSWORD and choose a Security Question with its Answer. It’s important to remember your password for future logins.


For later logins, you can access your account using your application number and the password you set up. Do not share your password with anyone, as neither NTA nor NIC will be responsible if it is misused. You can change your password anytime after logging in.

Always log out at the end of your session to prevent others from accessing your information.


Password Creation Rules:

  • Your password must be 8 to 13 characters long.

  • It must include at least one uppercase letter.

  • It must include at least one lowercase letter.

  • It must include at least one number.

  • It must include at least one special character (like !@#$%^&*-).


How to Reset Your Password: You can reset your password using one of these options:


  1. Answer the Security Question you chose during registration.

  2. Enter a verification code sent to your registered mobile number.

  3. Click on a reset link sent to your registered email address.


Make sure to keep your application number, which is printed on the confirmation page, safe. You will need it for any future correspondence.


Important Instructions for Filling the Application Form

Candidates should fill out the application form carefully. Once you submit the form, you cannot change certain fields, so be sure everything is correct.


Note: Submitting more than one application form will not be allowed and will result in the cancellation of your results.


  1. You can apply for the January 2026 exam (Session 1) and pay the exam fee. Later, you will have the chance to apply for the April 2026 exam (Session 2) using the same application number. More details will be provided in a separate notice.

  2. If you want to apply for the April 2026 exam, you can log in and pay the exam fee during that time. If you only want to apply for Session 2 later, you can register when the application form for that session is open.

  3. The application period for Session 2 will reopen according to the information in the Information Bulletin and will be announced in a public notice.

  4. You can only pay the exam fee online through Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, or UPI. There may be additional processing charges and GST added to the exam fee by the bank or payment service.

  5. The confirmation page for each session will be generated only after you successfully pay the fee. If the confirmation page does not appear after payment, contact the bank or payment service using the helpline numbers and email provided in Appendix - I to check the payment status or to get a refund for duplicate payments.


You cannot fill out more than one application form under any circumstances. Strict action will be taken against anyone who submits multiple forms, and it will be considered an unfair practice (UFM).


JEE Main Application Form Correction

Candidates should note that there is a provision to correct the JEE Main Application Form. However, JEE Main Application Form Correction Date 2026 has not yet been announced. It is important to monitor official notifications for updates regarding when corrections can be made. Please ensure that all details are entered correctly during the initial application process, as some fields may not be eligible for correction after submission. Here's what you can modify:


  • Personal Details: Correct any spelling mistakes in your name or your parent's name.

  • Academic Details: Modify school details, the year of passing, and the qualifying exam information.

  • Change of Paper: Switch between Paper 1 and Paper 2. If you applied for one paper and want to add the other, you can do so by paying the balance fee.

  • Exam Centres: Unfortunately, you cannot change your chosen exam centres once selected.

  • Language of Examination: Change the language from English to Hindi/Gujarati or vice versa.

  • Name, State of Eligibility, and Date of Birth: Correct any errors in your name, state of eligibility, or date of birth.

  • Category: You can also change your category. Note that if you switch from general to reserved, fees won't be refunded. If you change from reserved to general, you'll need to pay the remaining fee.
